Counterpoint reports YMTC's NAND revenue share rising to 14%
China's YMTC increased its share of global NAND revenue from 9% to 14% over four quarters, according to estimates Counterpoint Research published on October 13.
The comparison runs from the first quarter of 2025 to the first quarter of 2026. The research firm said YMTC's year-on-year revenue growth reached as high as 478% amid demand for memory serving artificial intelligence infrastructure.
YMTC ranked third by shipment volume in the second quarter of 2026, behind Samsung and SK hynix. Counting SK hynix separately from its Solidigm unit puts the Chinese manufacturer in second place.
YMTC is also preparing for a share listing in Shanghai. Its IPO application was filed in August, according to 3DNews, so the new analysis does not mark the start of trading. The source article gives neither a fundraising amount nor a prospective valuation.
