CSKA set to sign Lada forward Riley Sawchuk in reported 50 million rouble deal

CSKA has won the race to sign Lada forward Riley Sawchuk ahead of Shanghai Dragons, Sport-Express reported on October 10, putting the compensation at 50 million roubles.
The 27-year-old Canadian has played for the Tolyatti club since 2025. He finished the previous FONBET KHL regular season as Lada's leading scorer, recording 45 points in 68 games. That total comprised 23 goals and 22 assists.
At the time of the transfer report, Sawchuk had ten points in thirteen games this season, with six goals and four assists. Lada renewed his contract for one season in July 2026. Sports.ru separately cited Sila Sporta as saying the clubs had agreed the move and that an official announcement was expected soon.
