Daku says Carcedo offered support ahead of Rubin reunion

Spartak forward Mirlind Daku said he discussed his playing time with head coach Juan Carcedo and received his support. He spoke to Sport-Express ahead of a match against his former club.

Daku said he was not upset about playing less than he did at Rubin. The forward said he was waiting for an opportunity to prove himself.

The 28-year-old Albanian joined Spartak from the Kazan club during the summer transfer window. He has scored three goals and provided two assists in 10 appearances for his new team.

Spartak host Rubin at Lukoil Arena on October 18 in round 11 of the Russian Premier League. Kickoff is scheduled for 18:45 Moscow time.
