Deaf sports representatives from 11 countries to attend Krasnoyarsk forum

Deaf sports representatives from 11 countries will attend the Russia — Country of Sports forum in Krasnoyarsk, organiser Roscongress said on October 14 while outlining its adaptive sports programme.
The fourteenth international forum runs from October 21 to 23, mainly at the Sibir exhibition and business centre. A dedicated session will consider national models and practical approaches to developing deaf sports.
The programme also addresses sport’s role in restoring activity. Exhibition plans include the Russian Paralympic Committee, the deaf sports federation and Special Olympics. The Return to Life Paralympic awards ceremony is planned at the Rossiya National Centre.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said more than 1,100 adaptive sports events were planned nationally during 2026. That is a countrywide annual figure, rather than the number of events at the forum.
A family programme includes a Paralympic lesson, sports activities, shooting, chess, darts, table tennis and a relay.
More than 150 combat veterans from over 50 regions are expected at a swimming superfinal for Andrei Arbuzov’s prizes. Plans include 50-metre freestyle races in four categories, virtual swimming and a charity swim.
