Delayed trains after Rostov–Bataysk bridge damage fall to 13

The number of trains running late after damage to the Rostov–Bataysk bridge fell to 13 by the evening of October 10, the Federal Passenger Company said. It had reported 25 delayed services earlier. Traffic across the bridge has resumed.
In the evening update carried by Interfax, the company said 12 delayed trains had reached their final stations and another seven were back on schedule. Train No. 42 from Moscow to Saransk was also rescheduled to leave no earlier than 01:40 Moscow time on October 11 instead of 23:38 the previous day.
The earlier RBC report cited 25 passenger trains delayed following a temporary traffic halt caused by a drone attack and damage to the movable bridge. Routes included services from Moscow, St Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Adler and Novorossiysk, as well as return journeys.
Train crews assisted passengers, and those on services delayed by more than four hours received food. The later update revises the extent of disruption, so the morning total does not describe the end-of-day position.
Governor Yury Slyusar reported the attack beginning at 03:35 Moscow time and bridge damage with a halt in both directions at 06:08. Traffic later resumed. He said more than 100 drones were destroyed over the region overnight.
Slyusar also reported two damaged vessels in Azov and damage to apartment buildings and private homes in Rostov-on-Don. Six people sought medical assistance, with two treated at the scene and four taken to hospitals.
