Cam Talbot becomes first NHL goalie to win with nine franchises

Cam Talbot set an NHL record by earning a victory with a ninth different franchise. The 39-year-old Canadian helped the Columbus Blue Jackets beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-2 in a shootout.
The home victory added Columbus to the list of teams for which Talbot has won an NHL game. It was a milestone for a career spanning clubs in both Canada and the United States.
His previous wins came with the New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames, Minnesota Wild, Ottawa Senators, Los Angeles Kings and Detroit Red Wings.
The record concerns victories with different franchises, rather than simply appearing for them. Talbot is the first goaltender in league history to reach nine teams on that measure.
