Elevator installation begins at AFI Prom Altufyevo industrial park

Elevator installation has begun at the AFI Prom Altufyevo industrial park under construction in Moscow's Otradnoye district. The project includes 23 elevators, 16 of them for passengers, city industrial policy chief Anatoly Garbuzov said.

The four-storey complex will cover more than 130,000 square metres on a site of just over five hectares in Projected Passage No. 4875. It is being built under Moscow's programme to encourage new employment sites. Officials expect more than 3,500 jobs after it opens.

Passenger elevators will link production units with parking on the usable roof. Freight elevators will carry materials, equipment and finished products between floors. Access routes are designed to keep pedestrian and goods flows separate.

The Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant made the freight elevators. Vehicle ramps will allow trucks to reach production premises directly on upper floors. Separate routes are planned for employees, visitors and different kinds of transport.

Moscow's construction inspectorate has monitored the project since October 2025. Its chairman, Anton Slobodchikov, said inspectors had made two site visits, checking completed structures, site organisation and temporary facilities. He confirmed that the developer had started installing elevators.

The city employment programme has operated since 2020. Officials say it envisages more than 300 buildings covering 9.7 million square metres, investment exceeding 3.5 trillion rubles and approximately 450,000 jobs. Those projections refer to the whole programme.
