“A Hundred Percent,” slated to debut on Netflix in 2027, is co‑created with longtime friend Gabe Liedman – known for “Q‑Force” and the first season of “PEN15” – and stars a cast that includes Sam Richardson, Jason Mantzoukas, Vanessa Bayer, with Diane Lane joining in a recurring role.
Kroll described the series as a satire of the self‑help and wellness industry, focusing on thought leaders, gurus and influencers who convene in polished conference rooms that serve “tiny mints and pitchers of water” while the real drama unfolds behind the scenes.
He emphasized that the project was built around “the most talented people” he could find, noting that a happy, collaborative crew in Los Angeles made the production experience “awesome” and that surrounding oneself with quality talent is essential to avoid “assholes” that can poison a set.
In addition to the Netflix comedy, Kroll highlighted his role as executive producer of the FX sitcom “Adults,” a show about five twenty‑something friends sharing a Queens house. Developed under his long‑standing first‑look deal with FX, the series saw a 40 % domestic ratings increase and a 100 % jump internationally in its second season, which Kroll credited to the network’s willingness to experiment.
Addressing broader industry trends, Kroll warned that competition for audience attention is fierce and that creators must balance grabbing viewers’ interest with keeping them engaged, while also noting the ever‑present, if understated, threat of AI technologies in entertainment.
