Footage captured moments before the crash shows the aircraft shaking, alarms sounding and a crew member shouting “pull up” as the helicopter struggled to stay aloft. The video was recorded while the crew was delivering a live report.
The two crew members on board were veteran pilot George Marciniw and NBC reporter Eliana Moreno. Both perished in the impact, which turned the aircraft into a blazing inferno.
The crash ignited a massive fire that also claimed the life of at least one person on the ground, according to the initial report of the incident.
