The album’s lead single, “I’m Your Girl Right?”, exemplifies the push‑and‑pull Lo describes: “It feels urgent and animalistic, but the lyrics are needy,” she said, noting the track’s oscillation between confidence and self‑doubt. Other tracks such as “Idiot” and “If I Could I Would” serve as dialogues with her own “inner saboteur,” a perfectionist side she now confronts rather than blames on others.
A highlight of the project is a collaboration with Belgian artist Stromae on the waltz‑tempo track “Des Fleurs.” Lo recounted that Stromae sent her a beat out of the blue while she was in New Zealand, prompting three days of intensive writing and vocal production in a portable studio. She praised the partnership as “100 % aligned” despite never meeting in person until they filmed the music video in Paris.
Beyond the music, Lo emphasized a broader message: embracing messiness. “It’s okay to be a little messy,” she advised, urging listeners to lean into their vices in moderation rather than suppress them entirely. She hopes the album will leave fans feeling “understood” and “ripped open” in the same way she felt after watching FKA Twigs at Coachella.
Looking ahead, Lo confirmed that a world tour will kick off with a North‑American release run, followed by a larger European leg. She said the tour will be “a lot of touring and more music,” underscoring her commitment to keep the dream alive that has defined her decade‑long career.
