The incident involved seven members of a Kannur family who, after drinking the cocktail, experienced health issues that prompted them to seek treatment at the Kolachery Primary Health Centre, officials said.
Health department officials confirmed that several of the affected individuals, including children, are currently under medical observation while the cause of their symptoms is investigated.
Following the complaints, officials collected samples from the outlet for laboratory testing to determine whether the cocktail was contaminated or otherwise unsafe.
The cases were formally reported to the Health department after the family sought care, prompting the swift inspection and sample collection on Sept. 23.
Authorities have not yet released the results of the tests, and no further incidents have been reported at the outlet as of the latest update.
