The event was organised under the aegis of the District Industries Department and brought together six agencies – the District Industries Centre (DIC), Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA), A.P. State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and A.P. Micro Irrigation Project (APMIP) – to provide a single platform for aspiring entrepreneurs, existing MSMEs and self‑help groups.
District Collector Himanshu Shukla said the workshop would create awareness on a range of topics crucial for business development, including production processes, marketing opportunities, bank financing, government schemes and digital services.
A series of expert‑led seminars were scheduled to cover those subjects, while dedicated help‑desks and exhibition stalls from the participating departments were set up to field queries and dispense guidance on navigating regulatory and financial procedures.
Shukla urged participants to take full advantage of the information and networking opportunities, noting that the initiative is designed to accelerate industrial development in Nellore district and to encourage at least one entrepreneur from every family.
By consolidating information and support services in one venue, the workshop aims to lower entry barriers for new businesses and strengthen the district’s MSME ecosystem, which is a key driver of employment and economic growth in the region.
