France's draft budget includes €2.3 million for Macron's future offices

France's draft budget includes €2.3 million for Emmanuel Macron's offices after his presidency, Politico reported, citing a parliamentary report.
The provision would cover furnishing, rent, running costs and security over six years, according to the publication. Parliament is still debating the budget bill.
Macron's second presidential term ends in May 2027. France's constitution bars presidents from serving more than two consecutive terms.
Former presidents are entitled to office space, a driver and police protection. They can have up to seven staff members during the first five years after leaving office, with the number falling to three thereafter.
