Getafe president confirms contact with Sergio Ramos's representative

Getafe president Angel Torres said he had spoken with Sergio Ramos's brother and agent. The defender is on the club's list of potential signings.

Torres discussed the interest on Spain's Radio Nacional programme Tablero Deportivo. He said the club had been pursuing the possibility for some time.

Torres noted that coach Jose Bordalas prioritised strengthening the wings. Getafe already have six experienced central defenders.

The club previously signed former Real Madrid player Dani Carvajal. Ramos's most recent team was Mexico's Monterrey, where he played until January 2026.
