Rostrud reports over 610 thousand workers moved out of informal employment
More than 610 thousand people in Russia moved out of informal employment in the first half of 2026, Rostrud chief Mikhail Ivankov told RIA Novosti.
Ivankov compared the result with approximately 980 thousand workers whose employment was formalised during the whole of 2025. More than half of those formalised in the first half of 2026 signed employment contracts.
Regional interagency commissions made the largest contribution, he said. Their members include municipal, regional and federal authorities, including state labour inspectorates.
Ivankov also highlighted prevention and information campaigns explaining the risks of informal employment.
