
Madhukesh J.K., a mathematics researcher at GM University in Karnataka, has been included in the 2026 list of the world’s top 2% of scientists compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier. The university said he has appeared in the list for the fourth consecutive year.
Madhukesh works in the Department of Mathematics. According to the university, he ranked 108,066 globally and 1,032 in his scientific sub-field. His h-index is 16 and his hm-index is 7.
He has published 122 research papers, which have received 791 citations. The university said he has published research regularly since 2021 and continues to contribute to mathematical research.
University officials congratulated him on the recognition. The Hindu report cites a statement from GM University. It does not describe an independent methodology for calculating the specific rankings.
