Pakistan cuts petrol price and raises diesel rate for October 10–12

Pakistan lowered petrol by Rs0.66 to Rs398.30 per litre from October 10, 2026, while raising high-speed diesel by Rs0.52 to Rs396.24 per litre.

The Petroleum Division notification cited by Dawn sets the rates for Saturday, October 10, through Monday, October 12. Pakistan State Oil and Shell Pakistan also list the new prices on their websites. The previous rates were Rs398.96 per litre for petrol and Rs395.72 for high-speed diesel.

Petrol remains more expensive than at the start of the month despite the modest reduction. Pakistan Observer reports that it cost Rs387.40 per litre on October 1. According to Dawn, taxes and duties account for Rs114 per litre of petrol and Rs100 per litre of diesel.
