Heating start delayed in parts of two Kyiv districts

The heating season will begin later in parts of Kyiv's Dniprovskyi and Darnytskyi districts because an energy facility was damaged, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said. Heating elsewhere in the city begins on October 16.
Klitschko described the damage to the energy facility as significant in a Telegram post. The exception concerns parts of the two districts rather than the capital's entire left-bank area.
After strikes overnight into October 14, emergency electricity cuts were introduced in Darnytskyi, Dniprovskyi, Pecherskyi, Solomianskyi and parts of Holosiivskyi districts.
On October 15, Ekonomichna Pravda reported that CHP-5, CHP-6 and Darnytska CHP-4 could not generate electricity. The outlet said this required consumption restrictions and increased Kyiv's reliance on electricity supplied from other regions.
