Moscow region accepts utility system repairs in 195 apartment buildings

Repairs to internal utility systems in 195 apartment buildings across 43 Moscow region districts have been accepted since the start of 2026, the regional Housing and Utilities Ministry said on October 16.
Khimki accounts for 53 buildings with accepted work, followed by Balashikha with 31, Podolsk and Voskresensk with 30 each, and Lobnya with 23. Repairs in 49 buildings have been accepted since the start of October.
Housing and Utilities Minister Kirill Grigoryev said new contracts run for up to one year. Each contract is to cover no more than five buildings, with work due by December 31 without postponement.
Municipal property management companies have been added to the qualified contractor register. The minister said the changes aim to shorten repair times and reduce contract terminations.
Owners must provide access to flats for replacement of internal risers. If access is refused, the regional capital repair fund records the refusal, which can affect the work schedule.
