India has proposed a three-point ceasefire plan to Russia and Ukraine, Hindustan Times reported, citing sources familiar with the proposal.

The sources said the plan concerns infrastructure and commercial shipping and seeks to keep vital commodity flows open. They said it was conveyed to the Ukrainian side during Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar’s visit to Kyiv. The report did not provide details of the three points.

Asked about reports of the initiative, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said New Delhi had declared its readiness to contribute to a settlement. Moscow appreciates that willingness and the ideas India has put forward, he said.
