The Orda printing plant in Kiryat Gat is producing ballots around the clock for Israel’s Oct. 27 parliamentary election. Campaign posters are also appearing in Tel Aviv and Jaffa.
Large ballot sheets are inspected, cut and sorted at the plant before being sent to polling stations. Forklifts move boxes through the factory as workers prepare the materials for distribution.
In Tel Aviv, roadside billboards show Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the slogan “We will not surrender.” A separate campaign poster near the Ayalon Highway promotes far-right minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and claims the Hamas-led attack of Oct. 7, 2023, could have been prevented had he been defense minister. That is a campaign claim, not an established finding.
In Jaffa, leaders of the Arab political alliance Joint List appeared together before the campaign began. They included alliance chairman Hassan Jabareen, Balad chairman Sami Abu Shehadeh and Arab lawmaker Ahmad Tibi. Posters in Hebrew and Arabic read, “I’m with the Joint List.”
