Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant raises lift output by about 30%

Moscow’s Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant produced 4,643 lifts in the first nine months of 2026, compared with 3,564 a year earlier. City investment and industrial policy department head Anatoly Garbuzov announced the figures.

RIA Novosti and Rambler reported the department’s announcement on October 10. Comparing the stated totals gives an increase of 1,079 units, or roughly 30.3%. The accompanying description of growth exceeding one-third therefore does not match those figures.

According to the department, the plant supplies more than 50 Russian regions and is expanding cooperation on building-overhaul programmes. Its lifts are used in housing, public buildings and infrastructure.

Chief executive Dmitry Sidelkovsky attributed increased serial production to upgraded machinery and improvements to manufacturing processes. He said the changes improved efficiency in particular sections of the plant.

Modernisation is intended to increase annual capacity to 12,000 units. That is a capacity target rather than an output figure already achieved. A lift-building and vertical-transport cluster is also being developed at the site.

The sector forms part of Moscow Industry Month, which began on October 1.
