KazanForum 2027 planned for May 4–6 as organisers discuss programme

The Russia–Islamic World: KazanForum is planned for May 4–6, 2027, with Islamic finance and investment, halal industries, transport, logistics, technology and artificial intelligence among its programme priorities, Roscongress said on October 16.
Programme proposals were reviewed on October 15 at an organising committee meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin. Tatarstan head Rustam Minnikhanov, presidential adviser Anton Kobyakov and federal government representatives attended.
Organisers plan to expand participation by Russian regions and companies in the exhibition programme. Khusnullin said about 10,000 representatives from 99 countries and 75 Russian regions took part in the 2026 business programme.
Minnikhanov highlighted this year's intergovernmental commission meetings with Indonesia and Mali and a meeting of the co-chairs of the commission with Tajikistan.
He proposed recognising the ninetieth birthday of Tatarstan's first president, Mintimer Shaimiev, in the next programme. Tatarstan has designated 2027 as his year. Minnikhanov said Shaimiev helped establish the Russia–Islamic World strategic vision group.
KazanForum has been held annually since 2009. It received federal status in 2023, making the 2027 event its fifth in that capacity.
