Kremlin says it has no information beyond reports on US-European peace plan
Dmitry Peskov said Moscow had seen media reports about a possible Ukraine peace initiative but had not heard about the plan itself.
Responding to a question at a briefing on October 13, the Kremlin spokesman said he knew only of press coverage of possible discussions between the United States and Europe. RBC independently reported his response, which Lenta.ru attributed to RIA Novosti.
RBC said the question concerned a Washington Post report on a proposed framework covering security guarantees for Ukraine, reconstruction funding, energy cooperation with Russia and a ceasefire along the current front line. Those provisions were reported proposals, rather than a settlement confirmed by Moscow.
At the same briefing, Peskov said contacts over a possible energy truce were continuing. He did not specify whether Russia had agreed to the arrangement described by US President Donald Trump and referred questions about that statement to Trump.
