KSRTC to run more than 3,000 extra buses for Dasara

Additional services from Bengaluru are planned for October 16–20, with return buses scheduled for October 20 and 21.
The extra buses will serve destinations within Karnataka and in neighbouring states. Routes listed include Madikeri, Mangaluru, Udupi, Shivamogga, Hubballi, Belagavi, Ballari and Kalaburagi, as well as Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Ooty, Ernakulam and Pune. Services will leave from several bus stations and transport hubs in Bengaluru, including Kempegowda, Mysuru Road and Shantinagar.
A separate fleet of 700 buses is planned for Mysuru Dasara: 300 on the Bengaluru–Mysuru route and 400 from Mysuru to nearby tourist and pilgrimage sites. KSRTC is also offering tour packages, including trips from Madikeri from October 11 to 26. These packages cost ₹400 for adults and ₹300 for children.
Tickets can be booked on the corporation’s official website or app. KSRTC says group bookings of four or more tickets receive a 5% discount, while passengers booking a return ticket with an onward ticket receive a 10% discount.
