Ukrainian outlet Suspilne reported new explosions in Kyiv on Thursday evening while an air-raid alert was in effect. The city had earlier experienced power and water disruptions that day.
RIA Novosti relayed the broadcaster’s report and described it as the second report of explosions that evening. Ukrainian media had reported earlier explosions at about 5:20 p.m. Moscow time. An online map run by Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation showed an air-raid alert in Kyiv.
Lenta.ru said the exact number of explosions was unknown and there had been no reports of infrastructure being hit. The outlet separately reported earlier power and water disruptions after drone debris fell on a power line and pumping stations stopped operating.
Kyivvodokanal said water pressure on the city’s right bank had returned to normal by 1:45 p.m. local time. NV and the Associated Press also covered power and water disruptions during the day. Available reports did not establish that the evening explosions caused further outages.
