Linda Noskova qualifies for WTA Finals for the first time

The Czech became the fourth player to secure a place at the season-ending tournament for the top eight.

Linda Noskova has qualified for the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Finals for the first time in her career. The organization announced the qualification. The 21-year-old Czech is the fourth singles player to secure a place in the eight-player field.

Noskova won Wimbledon and the WTA 500 tournament in Berlin this season. The WTA’s official website also confirmed her qualification, citing her first Grand Slam title and her success on grass in Berlin.

Earlier qualifiers were Elena Rybakina, who represents Kazakhstan and was born in Moscow, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka and Russian Mirra Andreeva. The season-ending tournament is scheduled to take place in Indian Wells, United States, from November 8 to 15. Eight of the season’s top players compete.
