The Brazilian presenter had to undo a heavily styled look and cut some extensions after attending Festa MASP 2026 in São Paulo.
In a social-media post, Luciana Gimenez showed herself trying to loosen hair stiffened with gel and other styling products. A dermatologist friend helped carefully cut away the extensions so she could free her hair. Gimenez compared the process to surgery and joked that she would not have been able to go to bed without professional help.
She said she was worried about damaging her hair and agreed to use scissors only because her friend is a doctor. Gimenez also said people should not sleep with hair hardened by styling products and suggested using cream to soften it.
The incident followed the Festa MASP 2026 gala on São Paulo’s Paulista Avenue. The event supports the museum’s annual program. Guests included Sabrina Sato, Isis Valverde, Alice Carvalho and Marina Sena. The lineup featured Quimbará, Aria Vega and the collective Do México para Baixo.
