Lyubertsy has completed the second stage of improvements at Lesnaya Opushka woodland park in Oktyabrsky, municipal head Vladimir Volkov said on October 14. An opening event is scheduled for October 17 at 11:00.

The project added a stage, rental point, sports area and dog exercise space. Quiet recreation zones and small landscaping features were also installed.

Volkov inspected readiness for the opening. Planned celebrations include sports contests, a prize quiz, workshops and entertainment areas.

The park’s first stage was completed in 2023. Interfax said that section runs from 60 Let Pobedy Street to the pond, while the second stage covers the area between the water and Lytkarinskoye Highway.

Completion of the works is separate from the ceremonial opening. The visitor programme is planned for Saturday.
