Manturov confirms talks on an Indonesian space launch complex

Russia is discussing the creation of a space launch complex in Indonesia, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said in an interview with Interfax published on October 16.
Manturov said Indonesia was interested in developing the complex on its territory. Russia was prepared to contribute its experience and expertise to the project.
In July, Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Sergei Tolchenov had already reported talks between Roscosmos and Jakarta about a spaceport. He said Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto had signed a decree on infrastructure for launching rockets with payloads two to three months earlier.
Tolchenov described Russia as one potential partner in the project and said Indonesia could also involve other suppliers of space technology.
