Maresca sets Premier League record with seven wins to start City tenure

Enzo Maresca became the first Premier League manager to win his first seven league games in charge of a club as Manchester City beat Ipswich 3–2 at home on October 17.
The previous best was six consecutive wins, achieved by Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea in 2009/10, Pep Guardiola at Manchester City in 2016/17 and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United in 2018/19.
The record concerns Premier League games after taking charge of a particular team. Maresca succeeded Guardiola at Manchester City in June.
