Mishustin reports agricultural trade with China up over a third

Agricultural trade between Russia and China rose by more than a third in the first nine months compared with the same period of 2025, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

He gave the figure at a regular meeting of the countries' heads of government in St. Petersburg and called for a wider range of mutual supplies.

Mishustin said there was potential for further agricultural cooperation and demand for products in both countries.

Interfax reported that agricultural trade totalled $11 billion in 2025, up 21% from 2024. Russian agricultural and food supplies to China reached about $8 billion, compared with $6.4 billion in 2024.
