Moscow opens vote on autumn walking routes

Moscow’s Active Citizen project has opened a vote on autumn walking routes. Participants can select up to three options from a Russpass collection or suggest their own, Deputy Mayor Natalya Sergunina said.
Sergunina said the collection includes 10 routes accompanied by audio guides. Options range from a family walk along the Yauza to a visit to Tsaritsyno and a route through northern Moscow.
A separate walk explores Peredelkino and the Soviet writers who lived there. It introduces participants to figures including Boris Pasternak and Yevgeny Yevtushenko.
Other options pass through the Izmaylovo, Kuskovo and Vorontsovo estates and near the Novodevichy Monastery ensemble. The walks introduce residents and visitors to different districts, architectural landmarks and autumn scenery. The vote lets participants compare the suggested routes and add an alternative of their own.
