Moscow Region proposes arranging prostheses for service members through Gosuslugi

Governor Andrei Vorobyov proposed moving prosthesis applications for participants in the special military operation to the Gosuslugi portal, with stages, deadlines and status shown online. He presented the proposal at a meeting of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation’s board of trustees.

Vorobyov said responsible organisations could exchange documents digitally so veterans would not have to submit certificates again. A feedback button could also let users report delays or problems with a prosthesis. He said he had previously discussed the idea with Anna Tsivilyova and proposed developing it with the Labour and Digital Development ministries.

The proposal was made at the Chaikovsky education, resocialisation and medical rehabilitation centre of the Russian State Social University in Klin. The Moscow Region operates a network of rehabilitation centres. According to the governor’s and regional government’s press service, about 3,600 people have received help there.

The Mecheryakov centre in Sergiyev Posad helps people with severe hearing and vision impairments. The Yasenki centre in Podolsk runs 11 recovery programmes. Eight regional hospitals provide medical care in 12 areas, and 37 psychologists work with participants in the special military operation.

The regional press service also said that 96 percent of about 80,000 requests to the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation had been resolved. Three more branches are being prepared for opening in Mytishchi, Sergiyev Posad and Odintsovo. It listed 420 municipal assistance locations for service members and their families, including multifunctional centres, support centres, social institutions and psychological support offices.

The simplified prosthesis process remains a proposal. The source gave no launch date for the service and did not say which agencies had approved its implementation.
