A residential quarter between Martenovskaya Street, Zelyony Avenue and 6th Novogireyevo Avenue has been upgraded in Moscow’s Novogireyevo district.

The work covered the areas around 11 apartment buildings. Deputy Mayor Pyotr Biryukov said the project added a sports court with spectator stands and a separate fitness area with strength-training equipment, pull-up bars and table-tennis tables.

A children’s playground includes a rocket-shaped slide, trampolines and sandpits. Benches and swings were installed away from the more active areas. The quarter now has spaces for sports, children’s play and quieter recreation. The city’s housing and utilities department announced the improvements. The fitness area is equipped for strength exercises and outdoor workouts.
