
Queen Mette-Marit will continue her rehabilitation after a lung transplant and will not attend official engagements until next summer.
The Royal Court announced the break while publishing the schedule of upcoming engagements after the period of mourning for King Harald V. No major official trips or state visits are planned for the autumn and winter. The palace said the changes accompanying the change of monarch would take time.
Mette-Marit underwent a lung transplant in June and is recovering. The Royal Court said the operation was successful. The latest announcement indicates that she will not resume public duties in the coming months.
Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 22, will continue to prioritize her studies. She is due to return to Australia in February, where she has been enrolled at the University of Sydney for more than a year. She is currently on an exchange semester at the University of Oslo.
