Oleg Vasilenko leaves Fakel after Lokomotiv defeat
Fakel Voronezh announced on October 11 that head coach Oleg Vasilenko had left by mutual agreement. His departure followed a 5–0 home defeat to Lokomotiv.
After ten Russian Premier League rounds, the club are bottom in 16th place. They have three points from three draws and seven defeats, with no victories.
Sporting director Ruslan Pimenov linked the decision to the team's results. Speaking to Sport-Express, he stressed that everyone shared responsibility for the club's position.
Vasilenko coached Fakel from September 2020 to September 2022 and returned in October 2025. The club said youth-team coach Alexei Rebko would take temporary charge.
