Open flames extinguished at warehouse building in Zaprudnya
Emergency officials reported that open flames had been extinguished at a nonresidential building in Zaprudnya, in Moscow Region's Taldom district. The regional ministry said nobody was injured.
An earlier federal announcement described a warehouse holding alcohol and tobacco products, with roughly 2,500 square metres affected. More than 40 personnel and 14 vehicles were initially deployed.
The regional update said the third floor and roof had burned, with part of the roof collapsing. Crews contained the fire before extinguishing the open flames.
An eyewitness reported the blaze overnight. Officials said further information was being clarified. Extinguishing open flames marks a stage of the response and does not establish that all work at the site has finished.
