Patrushev forecasts Russian wine output of 64 million decalitres

Russia could produce 64 million decalitres of wine this year, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev told the Russian Wine Forum.

He expects the grape harvest to be comparable with last year’s 950 thousand tonnes. Patrushev outlined the production estimates in his remarks on Wednesday.

He also relayed the industry’s positive assessment of the prospective wines, linking it to the grapes harvested. The fifth Russian Wine Forum runs in Gelendzhik from October 21 to 23.
