Perm businesses secure 240 million rubles for two heritage restorations

Businesses in Perm Territory secured 240 million rubles in subsidised loans to restore a historic school and the Serikov mansion, SME Corporation said. Its umbrella guarantees support the financing.

An entrepreneur borrowed 130 million rubles at 9% annually for the 1913 school, where seven Heroes of the Soviet Union studied. SME Corporation's guarantee covers 43 million rubles.

Emergency stabilisation, surveys and reconstruction design are under way at the school. Its historic appearance is to be preserved. One option under consideration is a cultural and leisure centre with offices and public spaces. Completion is planned for 2028.

A second entrepreneur received a 110 million-ruble loan at 9% annually to restore the Serikov mansion in Perm. The corporation provided a 55 million-ruble guarantee. The money will fund restoration and repairs for conversion into a medical centre.

DOM.RF operates the cultural heritage lending programme. Guarantees can cover up to half a loan. According to the corporation, credit agreements already signed with this support under the programme total 620 million rubles.

Six banks participate in the programme. The subsidised financing covers design documents, restoration and adaptation of protected buildings for contemporary use.
