Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said ties with Russia are expanding in trade, the economy and humanitarian affairs, and that Moscow and Tehran want to develop them further.
Pezeshkian made the remarks after meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkmenistan on October 8, on the sidelines of a Commonwealth of Independent States summit. He said bilateral relations were advancing across almost every area.
“We are grateful for the development of our relations. They are now progressing in practically every area, and our ties are on the rise,” the Iranian president said. He specifically cited trade, economic cooperation and humanitarian affairs.
Pezeshkian added that both sides had enough political will to keep developing their relations. His comments referred to a broad range of ties between Moscow and Tehran, rather than to a single area of cooperation.
