Gaza’s Civil Defence said 7 people, including a child, were killed in separate strikes on Thursday. Israel’s military said three of the dead were military operatives and told AFP it was checking reports about the other four.
Two people were killed in a drone strike on a car, while another died in a drone attack on a tent in a camp for displaced people, according to the rescue service and Al-Shifa Hospital.
Civil Defence said an Israeli airstrike hit a residential building in Gaza City, killing a woman and a child and wounding others. It also reported that one person was killed by Israeli fire southeast of Deir al-Balah. Health officials said a woman was killed by artillery fire in Gaza City.
The Israeli military said three of those reported killed were “military operatives.” AFP said the army was checking reports about four other deaths. The casualty accounts are attributed to Gaza Civil Defence, the hospital, health officials and the military.
