Three suspects held in Gujarat over Mad Sandhu killing
Gujarat's Anti-Terrorist Squad said on October 11 that three men had been detained in Vapi in connection with the killing of influencer and makeup artist Mad Sandhu in Amritsar.
The statement named Harsimranjit Singh, also known as Simu Singga, Fateh Singh and Arman Singh. It said Valsad's Special Operations Group detained them on October 10 after receiving information from the ATS.
The search followed intelligence shared by senior Punjab Police officers. The ATS said questioning indicated the men's alleged involvement in preparations for the crime, including reconnaissance. Those are investigative allegations, rather than court findings of guilt.
Mad Sandhu was shot dead near a car-washing centre on Amritsar's Loharka Road on October 3. Police said the attackers were riding a motorcycle. Amritsar police are investigating the killing.
A Punjab Police team arrived at the Gujarat ATS office on October 10 and took custody of the three men for further legal proceedings. The detentions followed a report that another alleged participant had been arrested in Ahmedabad.
