Rostov-on-Don plants nearly 10,000 trees and shrubs

Nearly 10,000 trees and shrubs were planted in Rostov-on-Don during its tree-planting day on October 17, city head Alexander Skryabin said.
More than 8,000 residents took part, according to Skryabin. Planting took place in every city district, including 2,000 rose bushes on Pushkinskaya Street.
Skryabin said tree species are selected in cooperation with the Southern Federal University's Botanical Garden. Suitability for the southern climate guides the choice of plants.
