RusHydro expects financial results to exceed its business plan

RusHydro’s 2026 financial results will exceed its initial business plan, board member Sergei Terebulin said on October 14. He attributed the outlook to higher water availability and stronger market prices.

Speaking at Russian Energy Week, Terebulin also expected results to improve from the previous year. He did not provide specific full-year figures. The company is calculating its business plan for next year.

He said 2026 was intended to mark the peak of investment-programme financing. In a separate Interfax report, Terebulin described discussions with the government over further support for new hydropower projects.

Those discussions focus on financing reservoir construction and capacity-supply agreements for new hydroelectric plants. The mechanism recovers investment through wholesale electricity-market payments. The Energy Ministry published a draft resolution in October on investment financing and recovery for new hydroelectric and pumped-storage plants.

Previously announced first-half results showed IFRS net profit rising by a factor of 1.9 to 60.07 billion rubles. EBITDA increased by a factor of 1.5 to 149.89 billion rubles, while revenue rose 18.9% to 387.15 billion. These are half-year figures rather than the forthcoming annual results.
