Moscow approves economic growth forecast for 2027–2029

Moscow's government has approved its socioeconomic forecast for 2027–2029, projecting annual growth in gross regional product of 1.5–2.5%, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
The city government's presidium considered the document on October 14. It was prepared using the Russian Economic Development Ministry's national forecast alongside analysis of Moscow's economic trends and conditions in the global economy.
The production sector is expected to remain the principal source of growth over the three-year period. Manufacturing output is forecast to increase by 6–7.5% annually.
The authorities also assessed investment activity. Growth in comparable prices is expected to be approximately 0.5% in 2027 and 2.7–3.2% in 2028–2029, Moscow 24 reported, citing the mayor.
The forecast therefore anticipates faster expansion in manufacturing output than in the city's economy as a whole. These figures describe the authorities' expectations for the forthcoming period rather than economic results already achieved.
