Russia to host next ministerial dialogue with Gulf states in 2027

Russia will host the next ministerial meeting of its strategic dialogue with the Gulf Cooperation Council in 2027, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

Lavrov made the announcement at a press conference in Manama on October 18. He said the venue would move to Russia under the rotation arrangement.

Saudi Arabia will take over the council's chairmanship from Bahrain next year. Lavrov said Russia would prepare the next meeting jointly with its partners.
