Russia’s Defence Ministry said Russian forces had advanced in Dobropillia in the Donetsk region. The ministry said its troops had taken control of two industrial structures on the grounds of the Dobropilska mine.
The ministry has previously described the city as a major Ukrainian defensive hub and an important direction for establishing control over Donbas. It also said Russian marines were advancing in the northern part of Dobropillia, while assault units of the 51st Army were moving forward in the center.
These claims come from the Russian military. The materials reviewed contained no independent confirmation of the reported changes to the front line.
