Russian developers validate four-marker autoimmune diabetes test
Russia's Dedov National Medical Research Centre for Endocrinology and XEMA have developed a test for four autoimmune diabetes markers that is undergoing validation, the centre said.
The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay panel detects GADA, IA-2A, ZnT8A and IAA. Its developers said validation remained under way in October 2026.
Before practical use, the system must demonstrate reproducibility, comparability, clinical accuracy and stability, the centre said.
Centre director Natalia Mokrysheva called domestic diagnostic technologies a strategic priority. She said a complete development cycle should include quality verification and servicing.
