Search continues for father and son missing after fishing trip in Siberia
Rescuers are continuing to search for a father and son who disappeared after setting out on a fishing trip in Russia’s Krasnoyarsk Territory, according to an October 11 statement.
Police established that the missing men’s car may have gone off a bridge into the Serezh River near Ust-Beryozovka village in Nazarovsky district. The regional rescue service’s account, cited by RIA Novosti, presents this as a possible explanation. It does not confirm either man’s death.
Rescuers from the Achinsk search-and-rescue unit went to the area on October 10. Divers made three descents and examined 300 square metres of riverbed, without finding the father or son.
The regional rescue service said on its official VKontakte page that the search was continuing. Its published account did not give the men’s names or ages, or say when they left for the fishing trip.
